Hello,
I know today I am a little late in this post but this topic was a little difficult to write on...
Calcutta I know its Kolkata but when I came to this city it was Calcutta and for me it will always be Calcutta...
But i used to hate this city initially when i came here...pollution, dirtiness, laziness, weather of this city made it even worse...i had fallen so sick that i just wanted to leave and go away..plus i came from a place that was so beautiful GOA....and plus the mentality of people living here was so different and honestly in certain things very cheap....
But as time passed i have fallen in love with this beautiful city...be it the roadside food, laid back attitude of the people, people cribbing about laziness and when asked them to do overtime their patent dialogue "ita cholbe na" and the strikes...and how can we forget the so called "Bandh"...because of this city now i am not scared of a Bandh which any other person in any other city will be scared of but here its kind of a celebration...if for long Bandh doesn't happen we friends joke around "kafi din se bandh nai hua yaar'....
This city has given me everything friends, career, my first love, my heartbreaks, and so many memories that now for me its my hometown...normally i would never understand when people would say that after retirement we want to go back to our village...but now i know...as if someone asked me my answer would be i want to go back to Calcutta....this is my home now...and i think a person who has stayed in kolkata no matter where he goes his heart will belong to kolkata only...
If i start what in particular i love about the city then the list is never ending but yaa few of them are something that everyone will agree to Puckha, Sandesh, Ganga can't forget the river which is the most important part of kolkata, Victoria, haat rikshaw, Tram, Metro, and the most important Durga Puja and so on.....
Even through development is less politics is more still this city somehow makes us fall in love with it...and makes itself apart of our life in such a way that even we can't and don't want to delete it...
Anyways this time i will not share a pic because i really can't describe kolkata in one or two pics its a whole collage of life, colors, memories, happiness, sadness and alot more....
P.S : this time the post is basically for a friend Manpreet.... you wanted me to write and you always wait for my post...even today you messaged me in the evening where is your post... thank you so much....really cant express that feeling.... 😊😊😊😊

As reading your post i can clearly see that your vision(nazariya) towards Calcutta is changed from when you came here, that's a good part and obviously you are in love with it. May your romanticism with Calcutta increases day by day.
